[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]They say time flies when you’re having fun, and that’s certainly been true for us! It’s been almost 5 years since Lund London launched it’s first collection and we’re so excited by what we’ve achieved in that time.

In this blog post we’ll give you an insight into the evolution of the Lund London brand so far as well as some of the exciting things yet to come.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”11010″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”zoom”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]2015 – the year it all began

Lund owner and Creative Director Dan launched the brand in November 2015, showing his first ever collection at the Spring fair in February 2016. Being a new brand on a budget, Dan used carboard boxes to display the products, creating an eye-catching display which caught the attention of Buyers, with the added benefit of also being recycled and environmentally friendly!

In the first 5 years, the Lund brand continued to grow and thrive, then 2020 took the world by surprise with the Covid-19 pandemic changing the way we live, work and shop. But the brand and the team are resilient, taking the opportunity to re-group and plan for the future. It may have been a tough year, but there are so many exciting things to come!

Product

What a difference 5 years makes! What began as a brand focused on homeware and watches, has evolved into an eco friendly home and giftware brand with a focus on products that support sustainability for our environment, without compromising on style. The launch of our Skittle bottle in 2018 marked a change for Lund London and we are so proud of the iconic Skittle collection which continues to grow and evolve.

We have so much exciting newness coming for 2021, which we can’t wait to share with you next year!

Meet the man behind the brand

We asked Owner and Creative Director Dan 5 questions about the first 5 years of Lund London…

What’s been your most memorable moment since launching Lund London?

Getting our products in to stores like Selfridges and Conran shop in our first year of business. The pride and joy that gives me is still immense – and we are still there now.

How different is the business now since your launch 5 years ago?

Hugely.  When we started we were working from a bedroom in my house, now we have an office and warehouse and are looking at warehouses in the USA and Europe. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”10972″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Probably the most significant change though has been how we’ve developed from simply being environmentally responsible to now being planet-friendly in every way we can, from using sustainable and recycled materials, developing alternatives to single-use products to reducing our packaging and carbon footprint.

Your favourite product in the current range?

Skittle Bottles. So so proud of them.  I think they are so beautiful and different to the rest of the high street.

What’s the most exciting thing happening at Lund London now?

New products.  It’s always about the product.  Then everything else grows from there.   The investment in our marketing campaigns and seeing all the new content is also very exciting.  Its really starting to bring our products to life and hopefully more people will get to know what we’re all about.

What’s in store for Lund London in the next 5 years?

Firstly to get through these challenging Covid times.   We have taken this as an opportunity to reassess and structure ourselves for our planned growth over the next five years. Priorities are sticking to our green ethos, and taking care of our team; it’s all about the people we have to take us where we want to go.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
